Wonder Precepts

Wonder Precepts

It’s not enough to be friendly. You have to be a good friend”. Jack Will demonstrates this precept because at first he was being kind to August but wasn't really a good friend of his. When Jack and Auggie started to become closer they became good friends. “Don’t be friends with jerks”. Jack also demonstrates this precept because at first he was friends with Julian and then, as soon as he got to be mean he started becoming friends with Auggie.

"Kind words do not cost much. Yet they accomplish much." This precept is important to my life and everyone around me because kind words are very important especially to people who aren't treated nicely. I think this precept is important to mostly everyone's life because kind words feel good to be heard and no one wants to hear inconsiderate words.

Learning about South America

I learned a lot about South America. I learned that people have different adaptations and that every person has a different life. Also, I learned about climate and how climate affects how people are living. After I read and saw what everybody's  project is about I found that climate has a big role in everybodys life. I have learned a lot more about the Andes, Atacama, Amazon, and Pampas. I also learned that in the Andes there are 4 different elevation ranges and their temperature also ranges. I have learned a lot about the four different places. I never even knew what the Pampas were but now I do. I have learned a lot of things about South America that I never knew before.

Trade is not as Simple as it Seems

Trade is not as Simple as it Seems

Trade is not as easy as it seems. It makes it harder for countries to trade with countries who have high tariffs. Globalization is what imports and exports goods through trade arteries; it makes trade easier for the imports and exports. On the other hand, trade can be harder because of the countries barriers (rivers, forests, etc).Countries that are landlocked can’t access oceans and seas.
Some countries don’t allow trade so they put toxic chemicals in lakes and oceans. Trade can be harder when countries want a certain price on something but the tariff is too high. Some countries only want to buy the goods and services from other countries because the price is cheaper.
If countries don't have goods and services that anybody wants, they lose money. Most countries that trade have a higher GDP per capita. Countries that have a low tariff will be more likely to trade. A tariff is a tax on an imported good or service. Globalization is a way to import and export goods and services.
Trade is found everywhere in the world with a money currency. Some examples of currencies are U.S dollars, Euros, etc. Trade is when two countries exchange goods and services. If countries don’t get what they want it can lead to an argument or war.
Trade is not as simple as it seems.

The Agitated Pickle

The little pickle could not dance. He still had to germinate. Billy the pickle interrogated his mom and dad all day because he really wanted to dance. “I’m living a humdrum life!” Billy said.
“No you aren't!  We are a dynasty in an immense Pickle castle” His parents replied.
Drip, drip, drip….. The water is trickling down the pickle jar.. “Uh oh! Everyone, hurtle into the castle!” screamed the king! 30 minutes went by and the pickles were sullen. They heard a vicious sound… “woof woof!”  It was a vicious dog. One pickle insinuated that they might get eaten by the dog. The little pickle said, “I can’t be eaten! I never learned to dance!” He squealed. “If you can save us we will sign you up for dance lessons!” said his parents trembling. The little pickle saw a treat lying on the counter. With all of his might he leaped out of the jar and hurtled the treat across the room. The dog ran away and the pickles were safe.
The littlest pickle’s parents kept their promise and the little pickle learned to dance.
